Hi, I'm Riley Kai, your San Diego portrait photographer. From newborns, to graduates, to your annual family photoshoot, a studio session is perfect for capturing timeless images that will look great for generations. I can even tap into your toddler's favorite YouTuber (Miss Rachel) to bring out the ear-to-ear smiles!

My sessions are held in my studio in Point Loma, San Diego, inside Liberty Station.

The Studio Experience

Our studio photography experience provides a 4 step process, which includes:

Consultation

We help you decide what backdrop and lighting style pairs best for your vision. We also advise what to wear to make your portraits look visually cohesive.

Photo Session

We guide your family with professional posing to make you look and feel your best. You will feel comfortable and candid in front of the camera in minutes.

Image Selection

Within 48 hours of your session, we send you a watermarked proof gallery with all viable images from your session. You select the images you want edited.

Image Delivery

Your high resolution edited images are delivered via online gallery within 2 weeks of your selection. Printed products and wall art are ordered at this time.

Additional Information

We are only able to accomplish a very limited amount of sessions per month. Therefore, booking in advance is highly recommended.

Extended family are welcome to join in The Luxe Collection.

Packages include digital images. Print credit goes toward physical printed products.

Additional images may be purchased.

Digital Images are delivered about 2 weeks after your session.

Installment plans are available upon early request.

FAQs

What is the difference between your Studio sessions and other sessions?

Studio sessions are minimal in nature and don't include props. Cake smash & maternity sessions can still be done in a Studio Session.

Maternity sessions have access to the client closet and props. Please inquire through the contact tab if you are interested in wearing a gown from the client closet.

What should I wear?

Prior to the session, coordinate with everyone on what to wear. Avoid busy patterns and choose only one or two colors to repeat through your outfits. This does not mean everyone needs to wear the same thing, but keep a distinct color palette. Neutral colors are the easiest to style and look great displayed in any space.

What should I do BEFORE my session?

If you have small children, try to get them off any electronic devices and engage them in conversation or playtime 30-45 minutes prior to the session. This makes the transition into taking pictures very smooth and they will not notice any of their fun activities being taken away. Snacks can be used as a reward only if necessary. I recommend small crackers or items that will not stain clothes or teeth if things get messy.
