Hi, I'm Riley Kai, your San Diego photographer. I'm here to capture your family's beautiful moments in our diverse city. Whether it be in the studio, on the shore, in the desert, or high in the mountains, lets venture to those perfect places and create memories to last a lifetime.

The Outdoor Experience

Our outdoor photography experience provides a 4 step process, which includes:

Consultation

We help you decide what location works best for your family dynamic and energy. We also advise what to wear to make your portraits look visually cohesive.

Photo Session

We guide your family with professional posing to make you look and feel your best. You will feel comfortable and candid in front of the camera in minutes.

Image Selection

Within 48 hours of your session, we send you a watermarked proof gallery with all viable images from your session. You select the images you want edited.

Image Delivery

Your high resolution edited images are delivered via online gallery within 2 weeks of your selection. Printed products and wall art are ordered at this time.

Capture your candid family portraits in your location of choice! Outdoor sessions are best shot during the last hour of the day. Please inquire if you would like a different session time than currently offered.

Outfit changes are permitted, but are only recommended for classic or luxe packages due to limited time. We want to use your time in front of the camera instead of changing.

Travel Fee: $2 per mile charged one way after the first 25 miles from Chula Vista.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for all sessions and is due at the time of booking.

Windansea Beach

Located in La Jolla, this dreamy beach has cliffs and sand for a variety of looks. Tide varies throughout the year and affects shoreline. $20 travel fee.

Mission Trails

Capture your family's memories in the coveted chaparral. This location also has a small foliage canopy over a concrete bridge. Please note we must stay on the trail at all times and cannot trample the brush.

Simon County Preserve

Located in Ramona, these fields are perfect for achieving the boho look. $50 travel fee.

Coronado Sand Dunes

Located in Coronado, these dunes spell out "Coronado from an aerial point of view! Great for a mix of sand and sea images.

La Jolla Tidepools

Only 7 minutes from Windansea Beach, it has the perfect combination of sand and small cliff structures. Tide varies and affects shoreline. $20 Travel Fee.

Scripps Pier

This highly sought after location offers a perfect balance of architecture and the beach. Parking is VERY limited on weekdays- the lot is reserved for USCD staff and students. On weekends the pier generates a line of beachgoers also wanting the perfect picture.

Kate Sessions Cactus Garden

Located in Balboa, these cacti offer beautiful form on a dry landscape. Walking distance from Palm Canyon.

Hidden Cliffs Beach

Located in La Jolla, this cozy beach has a small peninsula, making the beach look private and intimate. Tide varies throughout the year and affects shoreline. $20 travel fee.

Imperial Beach

A great option for those looking for a wooden pier in South Bay. Parking fees may incur.

Ocean Beach

A well known spot for San Diego Natives with a concrete pier.

Pacific Beach

Another well known spot for San Diego Natives with a wooden pier. Parking fees may incur.

Palm Canyon

Located in the heart of Balboa Park, this tropical oasis holds iconic tree roots and is walking distance to the cactus gardens.

Oceanside Pier

A beautiful location for North County clients. $55 travel fee.

Montevalle Park

Located in Chula Vista, this little park has dirt trails and a bridge under the canopy of eucalyptus trees. Perfect for dark and moody imagery.

Sunset Cliffs

For those wanting all the beach but none of the sand or water.

Lakeview Park

A beautiful location in San Marcos with a dock and walking areas. $50 Travel Fee.

Old Poway Park

A classic family photoshoot location in Northern San Diego. For those who are looking for a more rustic aesthetic. $50 Travel Fee.

Mustard Flower Fields

Located in Chula Vista, these yellow wildflowers only grow after heavy periods of rain, making them limited to March and April before they're plowed down.

Christmas Tree Farm

Located in Santee, these privately rented spaces are perfect for the holidays and are open for sessions from October through Thanksgiving. Closed Mondays. $50-100 Farm Rental Fee.
