What to Expect

Milestone sessions are best scheduled after your baby's morning or afternoon nap and last 30-60 minutes, but are scheduled for a two hour block, just in case your little one needs extra time to get used to the spotlight. I try to get a variety of shots for you to have a diverse gallery of images to pick from. One outfit change is permitted. Additional outfit changes and props are not guaranteed due to the average baby's attention span. My digital delivery timeline is roughly 1-2 weeks from your session date.

We are only able to accomplish a very limited amount of sessions per month. Therefore, booking in advance is highly recommended.

Packages include digital images delivered via online gallery in 1-2 weeks after image selection submission. Print credit goes toward physical printed products. Additional edited images may be purchased for $30 each. Installment plans are available upon early request.

Milestone FAQs

When should I book my session?

It depends how old your child is.

For cake smash, I suggest booking between 10 and 13 months. If you need the photos for party invitations, please book your session 4 weeks before you need to send them out. My turnaround time is between 1-2 weeks, so this will give you 1-2 weeks to get anything printed for the big day,

For milk baths, I do not accept children younger than 9 months for safety reasons.

How should I order my cake?

I suggest ordering a 6" vanilla cake with whipped frosting on a small white circular cake board. Vanilla sponge looks less messy than chocolate when crumbled up. Whipped frosting is a lighter and less sugary option than buttercream or other frostings. Some bakers will accept special requests to reduce your cake's sugar content for your little one.

I also HIGHLY suggest avoiding pigmented frosting as it can stain your child's skin and clothes. White and pastel frosting can be just as cute!

Please pick up your cake with plenty of time before the session and store it in the fridge to prevent the icing from melting.

Recommended bakery chains with online ordering:

- Nothing Bundt Cakes (8" size works best)

- Walmart (6" size)

Not Recomended:

- Paris Baguette (they have square cake boards and will not align with the cake stand)

What should my child wear?

I have a collection of outfits specifically for milestone sessions, but I can make some great recommendations on a case by case basis depending on your intended aesthetic. We will discuss this when planning your session.

What age do you offer milk baths?

Milk baths are great for ages 9-18 months. Toddler's closer to 24 months are too large to fit in the bath comfortably. Babies younger than 9 months are too young to safely hold themselves up in the bathwater long enough to receive a substantial number of images.
